Elena Rey is a founding member of the Dalia Quartet and Trio Lorca. Winner of various competitions, she has developed a career that includes both solo and chamber music engagements with a wide range of artists.
Elena is a member of Orquesta de Cadaqués, Orquesta Da Camera and BCN216, has been invited principal second with orchestras such as Orquesta del Palau de les Arts and Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León among others. Her interest in other genres has led to her collaboration with Silvia Perez Cruz in “Entre Cuerdas,” a project that encompasses wide ranging styles, from flamenco to jazz.
Born in Barcelona in 1986, she began her musical studies at age nine with Mª Victoria Fernandez, and then continued with Gonçal Comellas, Kai Gleusteen and members of Cuarteto Casals. She later studied with Yuri Volguin and Zakhar Bron at the Escuela Reina Sofía. She plays on a José Contreras (1770), generously on loan to her from Luthiería Tarapiella S.L.Page Facebook
