French-American violinist Elissa Cassini’s unyielding passion for music transcends conventional stylistic boundaries on the instrument from Baroque violin to electronically enhanced scores. Equally at home on stage as orchestral soloist or chamber musician, she has performed extensively in Europe and throughout North and South America. Recent solo engagements include violin concerti by Mozart at Bellas Artes Hall in Mexico City, Beethoven with the Petrobras Sinfônica in Rio de Janeiro as well as Bruch g minor and Schumann Op. Posth in d minor.
Thinking beyond the violin, her desire to communicate the music’s inherent message informs her stylistic and intelligent interpretations. This, in combination with her expressive tone, captivating stage presence, and innovative programming concepts, make her an exciting, versatile and sought-after artist.
Revealing the sonic magic behind the score also guides her excitement for New Music of all kinds. Elissa's career grew in part from playing with today’s leading New Music Ensembles such as the Argento New Music Project and the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) in New York, Ensemble CAIRN and LINEA in France, and most recently the Camerata Aberta in Sao Paolo, Brazil.Site web Page Facebook
